The one and only item you need is..... a pencil. Oh yes,  you read that right! If you wish to know how to achieve spiral curls using just a pencil, keep reading below.

Here's what you have to do:

Step 1: The trick works best on freshly washed and slightly damp hair, so the first thing to do is to shampoo your hair.

Step 2: Use a hairdryer and dry it for about 80-90%, just wet enough so that you can style them.

Step 3: Divide your hair into equal sections and smaller the section, the tighter the curl would be.

Step 4: Take the first section of your hair and wrap it around the pencil, then spin the pencil at 180 degrees to make sure that your hair gets locked in place and does not slip away.

Step 5: Now take your straightening iron and place it over the hair coiled around the pencil. Make sure the iron is on low heat or you might end up damaging your hair. Wait for about four to five seconds and release.

Step 6: Repeat on all the other sections of your hair.

Step 7: If the curls look too tight to you, simply run your fingers through your hair to loosen them up.

Step 8: Finish it off with a hairspray.
