Even ladies who use minimal products for their skin will have more than one item in their everyday skincare regimen. Simply cleansing and moisturising are not enough; it is essential that you tone, scrub the dead skin, apply a serum, use a blemish corrector and then, of course, there's sunscreen to top it all. With so many products to layer, it is valid enough to consider that your skin might need some time to absorb the goodness before you move on to your next product in your beauty must-haves. But the big question still persists - how much time is enough between the application?

To make sure that each product in your skincare routine is working effectively, right from your toner to sheet mask and moisturiser to sunscreen, you definitely need to wait in between. Allow your skin to soak all the benefits of the product that it claims to offer in your vanity.

Beauty experts suggest waiting till the first product dries off completely before you reach out to the next one, whether it takes only a few seconds or one full minute. While your skin does a pretty good job at absorbing multiple products at once, when it comes to your moisturiser, serum and sunscreen you should wait for one full minute in between to let your skin breath in properly. This is because when your skin gets mixed with other products, it can get mitigated and become less effective, thereby exposing your skin to the harmful UV rays of the sun.

Experts suggest applying sunscreen as the very last step in your skincare routine after all the other products have penetrated in your skin completely. Again, after applying the sunscreen it is advised to wait for a few minutes before heading on to your regular makeup routine.

The final verdict is that anything between 30 to 60 seconds is pretty much enough for your skincare products to absorb. However, the quality of the products also affects the absorption rate. It is suggested to use good quality and gentle for your skin products and to layer them in the correct order to achieve the best results.
