Niagara Falls

Arguably the most famous waterfall of all, Niagara stands with the impressive height of 99m with the iconic placing of being at the border of America (through New York) and Canada (through Ontario). It is suggested that it's worth it to visit it from both the countries as it's an experience in itself.

Victoria Falls

The renowned Victoria Falls is located at the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. With the height of 107 meters, it famous for it's impressive sheet of falling water. Many people go out of their way to visit this iconic site and often called by many 'once in a lifetime' experience.

Angel Falls

Angel Falls from Venezuela will leave you awe-struck with your jaw hanging. It's the world's highest uninterrupted waterfall with the height of 979 meters.
It is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and was accidentally discovered James Crawford 'Jimmie' Angel when he was flying over the mountain in his Flamingo monoplane while in search of a valuable ore bed and once the story spread, it got named after him!

Seljalandsfoss

Found in Southern Iceland, Seljalandsfoss Falls are particularly famous with photographers. Standing with the height of 60 meters, it is formed by Seljalandsá River, which runs over the edge of a volcanic cliff. Many postcards feature this exact waterfall and why shouldn't they, just look at how beautiful it is!

Multnomah Falls

This Oregon (United States) beauty is another spot that is particularly popular with photographers. With the height of 189 meters, this beauty has everything a romantic can ask for.
The famous bridge above the lower falls that you can stand on and gaze at this scenic spot is named Benson Footbridge. It was built in 1914 and was named for Simon Benson who used to be the owner of the land but eventually donated it for use as a park.

Iguazu Falls

Just like Niagra Falls, Iguazu Falls is also located at the border of two countries; in this case, between Argentina and Brazil. While the height is of 82 meters, the wide length of the water extends over 1,600 meters. Quite a beauty!

Iceland's most iconic waterfall, Gullfoss is a sight to behold. And even though the fall is just of 32 meters, the sheer beauty of this nature's creation will make you forget all about the numbers. It's generally viewed from above and it's quite dramatic, isn't?

Shivanasamudra Falls

Situated in Karnataka, India, this 98 meter high beauty is situated on the banks of Kaveri river and many ancient temples are also located here. It is also a hydro-electronic power station and has been functioning for over 116 years now.
