It is time for summer season and the sun is merciless when it shines on us from the sky all high and mighty. Sun causes the skin to tan to extreme levels where as every girl wants to look gorgeous but one of the biggest issue to solve is the tanning that comes with  summer. Every year there comes a point when you get frustrated, not because of heat or sunlight or temperature even though they are also pretty much cause of vexation, but the most horrifying summer experience is getting Tan!

No amount of sunscreen or covering skin saves us from getting tan. How is it possible for a person to remember to apply sunscreen after every two hours when he or she is extremely busy with his/her work. While we cannot save ourselves from getting tanned, we definitely can make  an effort to get rid of that tan to look glamorous and be prepared for wedding and festivals. Tan removing treatments are quite expensive and not every person can afford the, therefore  we bring you a list of home made remedies to help you get rid of it.

Potato and Lemon Juice

You need-
Juice from medium size potato
One Teaspoon lemon Juice

Mix both lemon and potato juice together, apply it on tanned area and let it sit for 30 minutes before washing it warm water. Both lemon and potato have bleaching agents in them due to their citrus and starch characteristics and they help in cleaning the tanned area.

Sandalwood Paste

You need-
Sandalwood powder
Rosewater/Coconut water

Mix both the ingredients together and apply the paste on your tanned area before sleeping. The paste will get dry within 5-10 minutes. Let the paste be on your tanned areas overnight and wash it in the morning. Sandalwood, coconut water or rose water both help in cooling the affected area and help in removing tan if applied regularly.

Milk cream and Strawberries

You need-
2 tablespoon milk cream
5 mashed strawberries

Mix the mashed strawberries and milk cream together. apply it on the affected areas and let it rest for 30 minutes. Wash the face with warm water and pat dry. Milk cream helps in cooling the tanned area along and strawberries have citrus in them which reduced tanning.

Tomato Extract and Yoghurt

You need-
Equal parts of both tomato extract and yoghurt

Mix tomato pulp and yoghurt together, apply on affected area and let it stay there for half an hour. Wash and pat. Tomato not only will help in reducing tan but it also provides a touch of natural blush to skin if done regularly.

Oatmeal and Buttermilk

You need-
3 tablespoon buttermilk
2 tablespoon oatmeal

Mix both the ingredients together and massage it on skin for 5-10 minutes, then let it dry for 30 mins and wash it off.

Orange Juice and Yoghurt

You need-
A tablespoon of orange juice
4 tablespoon of yoghurt

Mix both orange juice and yoghurt together and apply on skin. Let it stay for 30 minute before washing it with warm water.

Masoor, Aloe and Tomato

You need-
A tablespoon of soaked Masoor dal
A tablespoon of aloe and tomato

Blend the soaked masoor dal and mix the dal paste with aloe and tomato paste. Apply it on the skin for 30 minutes and then wash it off with cold water.
