New Hello Kitty Snowskin Mooncakes Come In Stylish Handbag Packaging, Get Them In Singapore
Cheers recently launched a collection of Sanrio-themed mooncakes for 2021, but hold up, there’s more. Equally kawaii is a new set of Hello Kitty snowskin mooncakes all prettily packaged in a handbag, and we absolutely have to get our hands on it now that it’s available in Singapore!
Read on to find out where to get the Hello Kitty mooncake handbag set in Singapore!
These Hello Kitty mooncakes bear the imprint of the Sanrio character in what looks to be a flight stewardess’ outfit, accompanied by an airplane and palm tree motifs. How wanderlust-inducing, given the fact that we can’t travel right now! The packaging it comes in is unsurprisingly in a shade of pastel pink, and it’s actually a thermal bag that will keep your mooncakes cool and fresh as you transport them home or to a friend’s house.
But there are no rules when it comes to fashion, so who says you can’t tote it around like a regular handbag? The quilted texture of the bag, coupled with gold hardware and colourful scarf tied around the handle, make it look chic. While the front of the bag features a single large print of Hello Kitty standing among a row of flowers, the back is more colourful, with rainbows and unicorns added in. Too cute!
Like the other 3 sets of Sanrio mooncakes we featured, this one we’ve just come across is by Malaysian mooncake manufacturer Good Chen. However, the difference is that this set isn’t sold together with the others at Cheers, which makes it even more exclusive. We’ll reveal where to get these further on, but first here’s a look at the mooncake flavours included.
#1. Uji-Matcha Red Bean with Cookies
Take your tastebuds to japan with this matcha snowskin mooncake which comes with red bean filling, an Oreo cookie base, and white chocolate couverture.
#2: I Love Avocado
Snowskin mooncakes come in all sorts of flavours these days, but this is the first time we’ve seen one with avocado filling! It’s infused with white and milk chocolate, comes with an Oreo cookie base, and has a dark chocolate couverture.
#3: Musang King Durian (2 pieces)
Lucky you if you’re a durian lover, for this set comes with not one but two pieces of Mao Shan Wang snowskin. The middle is filled with the creamy indulgence of durian paste.
#4: Coco Diva
This is one for the chocoholics, but dark chocolate isn’t all this mooncake is about. The filling includes macadamia nuts and an Oreo cookie crumb base to add texture and offset the richness of the cocoa.
These Hello Kitty mooncakes come in a set of 5 pieces and can be purchased directly from local food distributor Shanlee at $111.92, as well as via FairPrice’s online store at $125.91 (U.P. $139.90, discount till 8 September 2021).
