Fiona came back to Singapore for family love.
She made a comeback in 2016 and confessed, “I was so afraid of coming back.”

She said in an interview to Channel News Asia,
“Someone in my family is ill,” Xie said, referring to her 23-year-old cousin. “I was so afraid of coming back. I think my cousin gave me the courage to say that ‘Hey you know, if you have every breath to live it, just live it. Whatever comes, let it come.”

Fiona seeks help from psychiatrists after a devastating breakup.
“I crashed and burned,” Fiona said in an interview with The New Paper. She was referring to how she felt when the relationship with her then-Boyfriend, an Australian-American wealthy dude ended. She was devastated.

Beyond the surface monetary benefits, Fiona gave up her thriving career, moved to a foreign land and tried to make things work with someone she loves. It's no surprise that any girl would crumble under the pain of a failed romance.

“It was even harder being away because I felt extremely lonely.
“It got to a point where I got pangs of depression."

“I went through a lot in Shanghai and it was quite a dark phase,” Fiona expressed her agony and mentioned that her psychiatrist friends helped her get through the dark times. “I think it's a very Asian thing where it's taboo to see a psychiatrist... but I think it's okay.”

Fiona opened up about her romantic hopes for the future Mr.Right
(As reported by The Straits Times)
“I don't look for Mr Right. I don't think there ever will be a Mr Right,” Fiona answered the most important question about her love life, “while there are people you have more chemistry with, there will never be that perfect person because everyone is dealing with their own garbage.”

“I've been a serial monogamist and I've always had to have someone in my life. I've got so much love to give... but I've learnt to spend time giving more of that love to my friends and family while spending time with myself to grow and I think that's very healthy for me.”
