You’ve probably come to terms with the fact that travelling will be something of the distant future, and so, staycations reign supreme for now. Previously, we compiled a list of staycations in Singapore that cost $0 when you use your full $100 worth of SRV to offset the cost, and while most of those picks were decent and sufficiently comfortable, we know that there are many of you who don’t mind a bit of a splurge for something just a little more luxurious.

So here’s one for those who don’t mind spending a tad more without too much of a budget-blow - hotel staycations in Singapore that cost just $80/night and below when you use your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers! Even if you’ve used up your SRV, $180/night and below is still a very manageable amount when split among two - that’s $90 per person at the very most.

#1: Hotel Mono - minimalist black & white hotel (from $113/night)

Dressed up in a monochromatic colour scheme is the aptly-named Hotel Mono, set in a row of refurbished heritage shophouses in Chinatown. With everything from the hotel’s exteriors to the rooms’ furniture and bathrooms solely in black, white, and in-between shades of grey, the environment here is highly soothing and allows for easy decluttering of one’s mind.

A simple Standard Double for 2 goes from $113/night, but it won’t hurt to spend a bit more for a larger Studio Room (from $160/night) with more space to lounge about in. They also have Loft Rooms (from $248/night) which can fit up to 5 but works just as well for a romantic couple stay.

#2: M Social - alcove-style rooms with free buffet breakfast (from $178/night)

M Social may be known for their loft rooms, but their Alcove Cosy Room (from $178/night) is a great alternative for those on a budget. With an arched entryway that opens up to a space with a higher pointed ceiling, this snug space is reminiscent of a cute little attic.

As the hotel is smack in the middle of Boat Quay and its nightlife, you’ve got a strategic spot to crash at after bar-hopping all night. Wake up the next morning to a hearty Western a la carte buffet breakfast, with mainstays like croissants, bacon, egg omelettes, cereal and more.

Make sure you’re not too mabok from the previous night’s shenanigans, for you’ll want to chill out on a deck chair by their pool - a little breathing space that’s shrouded by greenery despite the surrounding concrete jungle.

Be prepared for some serious wanderlust at YOTEL, for this boutique hotel at Orchard is airline-inspired, with their rooms resembling first-class airplane cabins. Parkroyal on Beach Road (from $175/night) is one of the more upmarket hotels on this list, so top-notch service is s hibr. Even their most basic rooms come with a king bed and great views, and the warm-toned, classy interiors will put you right in the mood for R&R.

Upon entering, you’ll be given welcome tea at Tian Fu Tea Room, a dining space with luxurious Chinese-style decor that’s a mix of tradition and modernity. This particular Parkroyal branch is a;sp home to Ginger, a gorgeous garden-themed restaurant with affordable buffets - read all about it here.

With its neon lights and colourful tropical-inspired decor, the interiors of Hotel Soloha juxtapose distinctly against the very building it’s located in. While uts exterior looks like that of any unassuming refurbished Chinatown shophouse, the vibrant hotel lobby - which also doubles up as their in-house bar - will wow you the minute you step in.

#9: Carlton Hotel - free yoga classes & gender-separated saunas ($180/night)

The rooms at Carlton Hotel ($180/night) are semi open-concept, with the bathroom sink separated from the rest of the room with just a vanity mirror serving as a screen, but don’t worry - the shower and toilet are sectioned off with proper doors so there won’t be any embarrassing peek-a-boos. The lesser-known RELC International Hotel (from $140/night) is a solid no-frills option if you’re looking for comfortable accommodation with a decent amount of floor space, close to your favourite haunts in town. While situated along a quieter zone off the Orchard area, the hotel is within a 16-minute walking distance of the shopping belt, where a multitude of food and retail options await.
