If you can’t wait for the dine-in ban to be lifted and need to settle your hotpot cravings ASAP, but want a more authentic experience than the Hai Di Lao instant self-heating one, then you have to get your own hotpot equipment for home use, stat. You’re in luck if you’re a diehard Pokemon fan, for we’ve just found an affordable Pokemon-themed electric mini cooker in Singapore that works for both hotpot and lok lok feasts in the comfort of your own home.
Read on to find out more about the Pokemon x Midea mini hotpot in Singapore!
This Pokemon electric pot is co-branded with Midea, a home appliance brand, and is licensed by Nintendo. Pick from 5 designs, in colours that match their corresponding Generation 1 Pokemon characters: Pikachu (yellow), Squirtle (blue), Jigglypuff (pink), Charmander (orange), and Psyduck (yellow). There’s also a grey Snorlax one, but it does not seem to be available in Singapore at time of writing.
Each Pokemon hotpot has a capacity of 1.2 litres, which is compact and perfect for small homes. Use it as a personal hotpot, or have a cosy shared feast for two with your partner or bestie.
The stainless steel interior of the pot is double-walled for good insulation, and comes with an “anti-dry protection” function which automatically turns the power off to prevent burns, in the event that your soup boils and evaporates.
Love watching shows while eating? The pot cover has a handle which doubles up as a nifty non-slip phone holder - how innovative!
There are two temperature modes available, which you can control using a knob. A handle at the side makes for easy transportation.
Other than soup, this hotpot can also cook porridge and other quick single-pot meals. It’s also suitable for reheating any leftovers that you might want to tuck into.
