Kream Beer: Korean Cherry Blossom-Themed Bar At Tanjong Pagar With Fruity Beer & Soju
Right now, Kreams Krafthouse, an Autumn-themed Korean cafe, is the hottest new place in town - so much so that it’s crowded even on weekday afternoons. But little do cafe-hoppers know that it has a sakura-themed sister outlet, Kream Beer, a pretty Korean bar which has been around since 2015. Also located at Tanjong Pagar, Kream Beer specialises in fruity beer and soju at affordable prices, perfect for a chimaek night out with your pals.

While Kreams Krafthouse is full of colourful Autumn leaves, Kream Beer’s decor follows the season of Spring, with delicate pink and white cherry blossoms from artificial trees arching across the entire ceiling.

The bar counter is decorated with hanging vines and large Craftholic plushies which patrons are welcome to cuddle and take photographs with.

Once seated, you’ll be served a complimentary set of mixed fruits and crackers to snack on while you wait for your food.

The crackers are free-flow, and the friendly staff are always ready to give you a refill. When I was there, they kept my snack bowl well topped-up even before my gang and I had finished whatever was in it. Warning: Super addictive.

You’d want to exercise some restraint on the crackers though, as they serve up some mean cheesy pizza and Korean fried chicken. Portions are sizeable and suitable for sharing; Just one pizza and one plate of fried chicken were enough for my party of 3 ladies.

But of course, the star of the show here is the alcohol. Being a Korean bar, Kream Beer obviously has Korean beer and soju, but what makes them stand out is that they have tons of flavours, all at reasonable prices.

Some examples of their Fruity Beer ($10) flavours include Grapefruit, Apple, and the less orthodox Banana, among others. The Soju ($16) comes in similar flavours, along with an Ice Cream ($22) variation. Regular Kream Beer starts from $8.
There’s also So-Maek (Korean cocktails) starting from $12, wine and Korean whisky at $10, and rice wine at $25.

Teetotalers can go for yuzu tea ($10) or a creamy Kream Affogato ($12).

Looks like your next night out with your girlies is already settled! This cosy establishment is also ideal for couples who would like some quality time over drinks - minus any rowdy background noise you might encounter at other bars.
Don’t forget to bring your camera so you can take advantage of all the Instagram-worthy spots throughout this photogenic little nook.
