3 Hot Actors To Look Out For In "Last Madame", Which Won "Best Asian Drama Award" At Busan Event

Mediacorp's very first M18 production, Last Madame, starring Joanne Peh as a brothel owner, had recently won the Best Asian Drama award at the Busan International Film Festival!

What makes this win all the more special is the fact that the production beat out other K-dramas that were also nominated, such as the wildly popular Crash Landing on You and Kingdom.

In case you haven't had the chance to watch Last Madame or have no idea what the show is about, here's a short synopsis:

Last Madame tells the story of the last brothel owner, Fung Lan, in 1940s Singapore. Set in 2019, the successful but cold-hearted Chi Ling returns from Hong Kong to settle an inheritance from her great-grandmother, Fung Lan – only to discover that therein lies deeper and controversial histories.

Apart from Joanne Peh's stellar acting skills, it's safe to say the other male actors in the drama have also managed to captivate viewers not just with their acting but also with their equally good looks.

#1 Jeff Chou

Taiwanese actor-model Jeff Chou plays the male lead, a police inspector, in Last Madame.

Dressed in long trench coats with dress shirts and a tie, paired with hair that is slicked back stylishly, Inspector Mak captured the hearts of viewers with his impeccable style and good looks.

The drama also created much buzz when it aired last year thanks to the bed scene between Inspector Mak and Fung Lan.

Joanne disclosed in an interview with GirlStyle Singapore that this is her most daring role in which she wears the least clothes, "or rather nothing at all". She also said that she "had no idea how M18 it was going to be".

Jeff revealed in an Instagram post that filming this intimate scene was "nerve-racking" and made him feel "incredibly vulnerable". Having to bare it all was "a big deal" but one thing for sure is that Jeff has a hot bod, and that is because he preoccupied himself with workouts to stay in shape while juggling the busy filming schedule for Last Madame.

#2 Alan Wan

Alan Wan is a Chinese-American actor who was born and raised in New York. He moved to Hong Kong in 2008 to participate in the Mr. Hong Kong pageant, where he made it into the Top 3. He then signed with TVB and appeared in Hong Kong dramas such as Triumph in the Skies 2, Tiger Cubs 2 and Ghost of Relativity.
