Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid Celebrate Birth Of Their First Child, A Baby Girl

Sad celebrity news has been rife as of late - from the passing of Alien Huang, Chadwick Boseman, and Glee’s Naya Rivera, to the divorces of Cardi B, Singaporean billionaire heiress Kim Lim, as well as Night Owl Cinematics’ Ryan & Sylvia.

But on the other side of the spectrum, there have also been positive happenings, from Naomi Neo’s second pregnancy, the birth of Katy Perry & Orlando Bloom’s baby, and NOC’s Ryan possibly finding love again...with an influencer 11 years his junior.

Joining the list of new celebrity parents are ex-One Direction member Zayn Malik and supermodel Gigi Hadid, who welcomed their first child into the world just this morning on 24 September 2020 in Singapore time (23 September in US time).

Zayn took to Twitter to announce the news of his daughter’s birth, in a black and white photo of his heavily tattooed hand holding his newborn’s tiny one.

His caption reads: “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful. To try [to] put into words how I am feeling right now would be an impossible task.”

“The love I feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together.”

Gigi has not posted anything related to her child’s birth at the moment, though she had been uploading multiple maternity glamour shots over the past few months ever since news of her pregnancy surfaced.

With both Zayn and Gigi’s genes, it’s safe to say that this child will probably be a good-looker just like her parents.

The child’s name has not yet been revealed.

Zayn and Gigi’s relationship hadn’t always been butterflies and rainbows. The couple started dating in 2015, a couple of months after Zayn broke up with Perrie Edwards from Little Mix, but broke up in 2018. Later on in 2019, they patched things up again, but during the year-long break, Gigi had a thing with Tyler Cameron from Bachelorette.

Well, what matters now is that the couple are still very much in love and looking forward to building a future together. Both Zayn and Gigi come from large families, and Gigi has mentioned that she, too, wants “several children” - so this little girl of theirs is probably going to have fun with plenty of siblings.

For now, we’re eagerly awaiting more photos from Zayn and Gigi, and can’t wait for a first proper glimpse of their newborn daughter!
