You can get inspiration from Japanese bread artist konel (こーねる) who creates creative and kawaii bread loaves and buns with designs and shapes of cute characters.

One of konel's recurring designs is a loaf of bread with a cute surprise design when sliced and the inside is filled with tiny buns in the shape of characters like Totoro and Spongebob.
