Sanrio Unveils New Summer Merchandise Inspired By Summer Festivals In Japan
Summer in Japan usually entails heat, humidity as well as fun Summer festivals. At ennichi or Summer festival stalls, everyone dons their best yukatas, enjoys street food & traditional Japanese music, plays carnival games and more.
As many of these festivals have been cancelled and we're not able to travel to Japan anyways, Sanrio is releasing a new range of merchandise that will remind you of summer festivals in Japan while you're safe at home.

During Japanese summer festivals, there will usually be a stall for young kids to play Kingyo-sukui, a traditional Japanese game where the player scoops goldfish with a special scooper and take the goldfish home in a special bag.
This catch goldfish set nods to this game where Sanrio characters have turned into little fish and mermaid keychains. A set includes a keychain, a character-themed mirror that's designed to look like a fish scoop, and a purse to put your "goldfish".
This cute range of merchandise will be released in Sanrio stores and online store on 29 July 2020. If you have a friend living in Japan, get him or her to buy it for you or try requesting for it on Airfrov.
