Hit Korean Webtoon "True Beauty" To Get Drama Adaptation, Actors Look Just Like The Comic Version

Did you know that many K-dramas were actually adapted from webtoons? Some of the more popular ones are What's Wrong With Secretary Kim and Itaewon Class.

If you are a fan of both Korean dramas and webtoons, you will be glad to know that one of the most popular webtoons, True Beauty, is going to be adapted into a drama!

True Beauty tells the story of Lim Ju Gyung, a shy girl whose social standing skyrockets after mastering the art of makeup via YouTube tutorials. But, will her elite status be short-lived, and how long can she keep her "real self" a secret? What about that cute boy she likes? What happens if he finds out the truth?

The webtoon is known for its well-drawn characters and the actors portraying them in the drama certainly look the part!

ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo has been confirmed to play the male lead, Lee Su Ho. He has Lee Su Ho's mesmerising eyes, small face and dark eyebrows and we definitely do see the resemblance.

Moon Ga Young is in talks to join as the female lead, Lim Ju Gyung, and is positively considering the offer at the time of writing. Her long brown curly locks, big round eyes and slim figure are all perfect for playing Lim Ju Gyung, if she does take up the offer.

Park Yoo Na has been offered the role of Kang Su Jin, the feisty goddess of Saebom High School. Born in a prominent family with both beauty and brains, she becomes intertwined with the main characters. Park Yoo Na is also positively considering the offer at the time of writing.

Now, all that's left to wonder is who will be playing the tough but secretly caring Han Seo Jun.

As the cast for the drama has not been finalised yet and filming has not started, it seems like we will have to wait a while before the drama airs its first episode.
