Ahopsan Forest has a long history that withstood the Japanese occupation, liberation, war, and industrialisation for 400 years before opening up to the public. The forest is known for its tall and magnificent bamboo trees that you often see in the drama.

Other movies and dramas such as Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo had scenes filmed at Ahopsan Forest too!

In the first few episodes of the drama, antagonist Lee Rim was seen working at a temple built on a cliff. It's the Saseongam Temple located in Gurye County on Mount Osan, a foothill of Jirisan in the province of Jeollanam-do.

It looks as though the building is coming out of a rock and the small temple features a stone staircase adorned with beautiful tiles. The temple also made it to CNN's list of the 33 most beautiful temples in South Korea!

#7 Jungri Sports Park (Daegu)
