A Purple BTS Samsung Galaxy Smartphone & Matching Earbuds Are Launching In July For K-Pop Stans

Try as you might, it’ll be impossible to score your K-Pop oppas’ numbers. But hey, at least there’s the opportunity to own the same model of mobile phone as them.

K-Pop stans should start saving up, as Samsung is launching a new purple BTS Samsung Galaxy S20+ smartphone in July, along with earbuds to match - and pre-orders are opening real soon.

Images of the Samsung Galaxy S20+ BTS smartphone were leaked by bloggers Evan Blass and Max Wienbach on Twitter.

Samsung has since officially confirmed the news, saying that the phone will be launched on 9 July 2020, with the pre-order window happening from 19 June to 5 July.

The launch date probably isn’t mere coincidence - 9 July is when the South Korean boyband announced its official fan club name, ARMY, in 2013.

The colour purple has also been long-associated with the band, when member Kim Taehyung first told fans “I purple you” during a 2016 concert.

“Purple is the last color of the rainbow colors, so it means I will trust and love you for a long time,” he explained in a past interview.

While the phone itself does not have any distinct patterns, save for a small BTS logo, its box comes printed with 7 hearts. If you haven’t already guessed, the hearts are meant to represent each of the 7 members of the group.

You’ll also find one of these purple hearts on the back of the phone, near the triple camera. The triple camera is supposed to provide a sharper and clearer photo quality - so your K-Pop concert pics will never look grainy.
