First Peek Into The Hotel Del Luna Exhibition In Seoul For Fans Of The Korean Drama
We can’t get enough of Korean dramas, and a popular one we’ve recently binge-watched on Netflix is Hotel Del Luna - a romantic comedy about a hotel that only operates for ghosts.
Fans of the series who are lucky enough to be in Korea anytime from now till 4 October 2020 can visit a live version of the hotel, in Hotel Del Luna The Exhibition which just opened on 6 June. It’s an easy 3-minute walk from Sinnonhyeon Station in Seoul, not too far from Gangnam, and is full of cool features including VR and a costume experience.

In Hotel Del Luna The Exhibition, the hotel suddenly becomes visible to humans after the Lunar Eclipse. And that’s why you’re suddenly able to see it and enter to experience the movie’s world in real life.

The exhibition is divided into 2 zones: Stage and Backstage. The former showcases bits of the actual movie set, while the latter shows what goes on behind the scenes. Expect familiar settings such as the reception lobby and the rooftop lounge.

The magical Moon Tree also makes an appearance - just one of the many photo spots to look forward to.

Just like in the movie, this will also be glowing mysteriously, and they even made sure to include the lamp hanging from the archway.

Spot some original movie artwork hanging on the walls, featuring iconic scenes between Manwol and Chansung, including the one at the balcony.

There’s also one where the duo are sitting by the beach - if you remember that part where Chansung appeared unannounced despite Manwol saying she wanted to be alone.

So you’ve seen the inside of the hotel. What about the outside? Well, you can view that via a 360-degree VR experience, all without having to leave the premises.

Hotel Del Luna The Exhibition will be running until 4 October 2020. Tickets cost KRW13,500 (~S$15.66) for adults. Hopefully COVID-19 will clear up soon and we’ll be able to make it down in time!
