The 2008 drama, Fated to Love You (命中注定我爱你), is one of the most popular Taiwanese dramas ever and was the production that shot Ethan Juan to fame while further cementing Joe Chen's success in Asian TV entertainment.
It has since gone on to inspire two remakes in South Korea and Thailand. Now, China's remake of the hit drama has released posters and trailers as it gears up for premiere.

Going by the title You Are My Destiny (你是我的命中注定), the drama tells the story of Wang Xi Yi, the heir to a huge conglomerate and Chen Jia Xin, a fledgling art director. After an accidental one night stand, their lives get intertwined.
If you are a fan of the original, you will know how the story progresses but we are also excited to see if the remake will be adding in other elements to make it even more interesting.

Xing Zhao Lin (邢昭林) will be playing Wang Xi Yi, the aloof heir of a conglomerate. He stares straight into the camera in the poster, with an arrogant look on his face, much like his character in the show.

Taking on the role of Chen Jia Xin is Liang Jie (梁洁). Compared to the awkward but sweet post-it girl we loved in the original, the new Chen Jia Xin seems to be a lot more fashionable and less socially awkward.
Fun fact: it's not the first time Xing Zhao Lin and Liang Jie are working together so we are definitely looking forward to seeing their onscreen chemistry in this one!

Jinna Fu (傅菁) from Chinese girl group Rocket Girls 101 will be acting as Shi Anna and Li Jiu Lin (李九霖) as Di Lun.

In two other posters released by the drama, the vibe changes from cheery in the previous posters to sorrowful. The main leads are seen hugging each other with sad expressions, giving us a clue that the remake will probably tug on our heartstrings as much as the original did.
Check out the trailer for the drama below:
The drama will officially be airing on 5th June, which is tomorrow! Are you excited to watch the remake?
