7 Shops With Aesthetically-Pleasing Yoga & Exercise Mats In Singapore For Extra Stylish Workouts
Workouts are a sweaty affair, but that doesn’t mean we can’t do them in style. Apart from donning cute activewear, another way to make your exercise sessions sweeter is to get a pretty exercise mat.
These stores and brands sell super aesthetically-pleasing yoga and exercise mats with all sorts of funky designs, including tropical prints, shimmery details, and even mermaid scale patterns. All can be conveniently bought online!
Read on to find out where to buy pretty and unique yoga mats in Singapore!
#1: FUNFIT - sweat-absorbent and machine-washable
Homegrown fitness brand FUNFIT is a good go-to for relatively affordable activewear. They’ve since added some exercise mats to their list, namely the Oceanic and Indira Towel Mats (now $49.90, U.P. $79.90).
Their sweat-absorbing properties allow you to exercise without slipping. Being just 1mm thin, these rubber-backed mats are lightweight and can easily be thrown into the washing machine - though this makes them more suitable for light-impact workouts.
#2: Manduka - circular exercise mats inspired by the moon
It’s not often that you see yoga mats in shapes other than rectangles, but Manduka breaks the mould with their Round Yoga Mats ($199) in Luna Sunrise and Luna Night. If their names and patterns didn’t make it obvious enough, these are inspired by moon phases, and give you a 360-degree range of movement.
#3: Decathlon - affordable picks from just $25
While Decathlon’s fitness items tend to mainly focus on functional aspects, they do have a small selection of patterned exercise mats too. Prices are very affordable, starting from just $25 for a Domyos yoga mat with a sturdy 8mm thickness. Some you can look out for are the ones in a Jungle Print and Green Leaf Print.
These mats come with a rubber back and handy carrier strap for easy transportation.
There are also Travel Yoga Mats ($60) like the one above, which are thinner and lighter.
You can purchase these online, but it’s also worth heading down in person to see if they have more versions in-store.
#4: Sugar Mat - shimmery details and wanderlust-inducing illustrations
Sugar Mat has arguably the most elaborate and unique prints when it comes to yoga mats. Fuel your wanderlust with their Dreams of Marrakesh collection, where prices start from $85 for a 5mm piece featuring exotic Moroccan landscapes.
For some sparkle, check out their Healing Heart range, which comes with geode-like swirls and shimmery gold detailing.
Need something lightweight? Grab their compact Travel Mats (from $99) which come with a nifty pouch.
Sugar Mat isn’t a local brand, but they do offer free shipping to Singapore for orders over USD100. Prices may be steep, but you sure won’t find such designs anywhere else!
#5: Shopee - animal and nature patterns
If you’re not too particular about brands, you can simply order a cheap but attractive exercise mat from Shopee. There’s a whole range of them with animal and nature prints that cost just $27.20-$33.60 depending on chosen size. These are thin, foldable, and easily to carry around.
For better cushioning, check out these pastel mats instead ($13.11-$15.73). They’re simple but cute, and get the job done well with a 10mm thickness.
P.S.: Here's a Shopee promo code just for you, valid from now till 30th July 2020!

#6: Yoga Design Lab - huge range of patterns and mat thicknesses
Yoga Design Lab has an extensive range of patterned mats with 5 different thicknesses for all your fitness needs, and you can get them from Singapore-based yoga essential store OMgoing.
There’s something for every sort of fitspo gal here, be it tropical prints, multicoloured geometrics, and mermaid-inspired designs. No matter what you pick, you’ll be the envy of your yoga class.
Prices start from $79 for a Yoga Towel, and go up to $138 for thick 5mm mats suitable for more intense activity.
#7: Amazin’ Graze - made of eco-friendly rubber
Amazin’ Graze is a healthy snack store selling granola and nuts, but they too have hopped onto the fitness bandwagon with their Eco-Friendly Yoga Mat ($58). The 4mm-thick mat is made from natural rubber that gives a decent amount of cushioning.
You can also get it as part of the Start Strong Bundle (now $79.90, U.P. $97), which comes with $106 worth of healthy goodies. This includes Coconut Kaya Granola and a Zesty Maple Glazed Nut Mix, just to name a few. They’ll also throw in a set of reusable metal straws so you can sip on your drinks without incurring environmental cost.
