Singaporean Couple Holds One-Of-A-Kind Virtual Wedding Celebration At Sentosa On Animal Crossing
Amid reports of couples postponing their weddings due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a Singaporean couple took the chance to hold a one-of-a-kind wedding celebration in the popular Nintendo Switch game, Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Remember Sentosa Crossing, a digital reimagination of Singapore's very own Sentosa island by the Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC)?
Polytechnic sweethearts Varian and Ruoyi, whose wedding ceremony was originally scheduled for 30 May 2020, celebrated the day with their bridesmaids and groomsmen on the virtual Sentosa island!

Sentosa holds many fond memories for the couple, from date nights, to birthdays and anniversary celebrations. While Varian and Ruoyi had to postpone their actual wedding ceremony, SDC created an experience of a lifetime for them on the virtual island.

The celebrations kicked off with photoshoots at various offerings on the virtual Sentosa island, including Skyline Luge Sentosa, Butterfly Park & Insect Kingdom, Ola Beach Club, Rumours Beach Club and along Siloso Beach, ending on a high at Shangri-La's Rasa Sentosa Resort & Spa's wedding aisle.
The couple's bridesmaids and groomsmen then joined them in a photo taking session at the aisle for a truly wholesome virtual wedding celebration.
