Korean dramas have been on a roll recently from Crash Landing on You to The World of the Married smashing viewership records left and right.
If you are looking for more K-dramas to watch, we have a recommendation. Mystic Pop-up Bar is a new fantasy drama that we are loving and here's why you need to watch it too.
Read on to find out more!
#1 Fantasy plot that piques our interest

Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, Mystic Pop-up Bar tells the story of a mysterious pojangmacha (outdoor drinking establishment) that helps to resolve people's problems.
The bar is run by a prickly and mysterious immortal (Hwang Jung Eum) who was tasked to help 100,000 people before she is able to escape the gates of hell, and a part-timer (Yook Sung Jae) who has the ability to get anyone to reveal their innermost secrets with just one touch.
Sounds interesting, right? Although the plot reminds us of another fantasy romance K-drama, Hotel del Luna, this one is more lighthearted from the get-go and straightforward about the female lead's background.
#2 Female lead's visually stunning outfits

Other than feasting your eyes on good-looking Sung Jae from K-pop boy group BTOB, Wol Joo (played by Hwang Jung Eum), has lived for more than 500 years so it's no surprise that she would still be wearing the hanbok (traditional Korean dress) even in the 21st century.
However, what caught our eye was how stunning her outfits looked! Slightly different compared to traditional hanboks, the dresses she wore were mid length and does not cover her feet. To perhaps add a modern touch to her outfits, she wore heels and boots that go really well with her dresses.
#3 A breath of fresh air every episode

If you have a relatively short attention span when it comes to dramas, you will enjoy Mystic Pop-up Bar because the drama focuses on a new problem to solve almost every episode. This means that it isn't as draggy as other dramas and will make you look forward to watching every episode to see what the characters get themselves into next.
