Gardens by the Bay has transformed into a sakura wonderland! Over 300 sakura trees make up the new Sakura Matsuri - Tale of the Peach Boy floral display.

Stroll under the delightful springtime blooms and be instantly transported to Japan! There are plenty of photo opportunities throughout the display including the Torii gates. Often found at the entrance of a Shinto shrine, this vermillion gate is said to protect against evil, misfortune and calamity.

It's not all just about admiring the beautiful flowers and taking the most stunning photos ever, this is also an educational experience!

You can learn about Japanese culture like their folklore stories and historical times. Delight in the tale of Momotaro, the Peach Boy, a classic Japanese folklore and admire the mini recreation of Gassho-style farmhouses located in the historic villages of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama.

Complementing the floral display in Flower Dome are Cultural Programmes showcasing traditional Japanese arts such as tea ceremony, taiko drum performance and Experience Areas offering activities from video gaming to colouring. You can also have a Hanami Experience ($20) with a ride ticket from the Flower Dome to Bayfront plaza, hanami pack, a bottle of oi ocha, sakura sake tasting and then dress up in a yukata!

Rounding off the festivities is Anime Garden, a celebration of Japanese pop culture with free anisong concerts, anime screenings, and appearances by celebrity cosplayers at The Meadow.
