A cozy cafe tucked away in the Da'an District of Taipei opened by a Korean wife and Taiwanese husband, cafemumi is every minimalist's dream. Its simple exterior with a wooden bench, beige walls and curved windows give it a vintage vibe while still retaining a modern touch.
The interior of the cafe is kept consistent with its white walls, wooden chairs, painting and decorations that all fall under the minimalist category. This non-cluttered place is great for those looking for a quiet cafe to unwind at after a day of sightseeing.
Since one of the owners is a Korean herself, it's no wonder inspirations were drawn from the cafes in South Korea where there are similar simple yet elegant interior designs.
Now, the toast bread set (NT$390, ~SGD 18) served at cafemumi is the highlight! The set comes with an entire loaf of milk bread, butter spread, strawberry jam, hard boiled egg, mashed potato and soup.
You can toast the bread yourself to crispy perfection that suits your taste and indulge in all the other desserts served at the cafe.
Other than sweets, cafemumi also has a number of savoury treats on the menu to suit every tastebud.
Remember to add cafemumi to your Taiwan itinerary if you want to visit a cafe with your loved ones where you can relax and have fun at the same time.
