Having curly and perky eyelashes will give you a doe-eyed look and also help you appear more awake.

But, it gets frustrating when our eyelashes start drooping in the middle of the day even after curling them and that causes unsightly smudges around our eyes when we have mascara on.

#1 Heat up your eyelash curler

Just like how a hair curler or straightener will curl or straighten your hair using heat, heating up your eyelash curler will help to curl your lashes and keep them perky throughout the day.

To heat it up, simply use your hair dryer to blow hot air on it. Take note to just do it for a few seconds and test it out on the back of your hand before placing it on your eyes! You wouldn't want to burn yourself especially since the eye area is very sensitive.

#2 Use a fiber mascara

A lash fiber mascara will attach synthetic fibers to your lash tips, elongating your natural hairs. Having short eyelashes makes it difficult to curl them which is why using a lash fiber mascara to lengthen your lashes will make it easier to keep them lifted.

#3 Apply mascara the right way

When applying mascara, make sure you start from the root of your lashes. If there is only product on the tips of your lashes but not the root, it will weigh your lashes down, making them droopy.

Next, fan out your outer lashes with the wand, then lift the lashes in the centre and lastly, extend your inner lashes.
