Just last week, JYP Entertainment released a statement to address the incident where Nayeon was approached by the stalker while she was boarding the plane in Japan.
The agency revealed that Nayeon is under police protection after the incident and stated that they will be taking strong legal action against the stalker and those who obtained and sold TWICE's flight information.

The stalker was previously "warned under police order several times already to not approach" Nayeon but he ignored the warnings.

The man claimed that he was unsure if the TWICE members would be on the flight and "took a gamble". He also said that he walked towards Nayeon to get her to read his letters to her.
On 8 January 2020, the agency released another statement to update that they have filed criminal charges against the stalker, as well as a restraining order.
Hopefully with the measures mentioned above, Nayeon as well as the other members of TWICE will be safe.
