#1 For liquid foundation

To start off on your base foundation, use a stippling brush with a flat surface to dot your liquid foundation on your skin. Then, blend everything by swirling the brush in small circles.

The fibres on a stippling brush are denser compared to other brushes, giving you an airbrushed and flawless canvas to layer on other makeup products.

#2 For concealer

To apply concealer, you should use a pointed, flat and small brush. A small and flat brush allows you to spot correct the imperfections and your dark circles too. Remember to use a light dabbing motion.

#3 For powder

After applying foundation and concealing any imperfections, you will need to powder your face to remove any excess shine. Use a big, fluffy powder brush to apply loose powder on your face. Tap lightly onto your skin to avoid smudging your foundation and concealer.

#4 For blusher

A blush brush looks quite similar to a powder brush but it's significantly smaller so that it effectively shades the apples of your cheeks. Use its rounded edge to dab blusher onto your cheeks and drag upwards following the contours of your cheekbones for a flawless, rosy look.

#5 For contouring

You should use an angled brush when it comes to contouring as the shape of it adheres to your skin well, letting you contour your cheekbones and the sides of your forehead effortlessly.

#6 For highlighting

To glow like a goddess, use a fan brush to apply your highlighter. The unique shape is great for the high points of your face such as your cheekbones and nose bridge.

It also holds on to minimal product which means you can build up the intensity of your highlight using this brush without risking looking like a greaseball.

#8 Lip brush

A lip brush is probably the least used brush among the lot but when you decide to apply a darker lip colour that requires a clean lip line, it will come in handy!

The brush should be small and the fibres tight together to form a stiffer brush to get a clean lip line.
