Adapted from a book of the same name by Zhao Qianqian, A Love So Beautiful follows the ditzy yet bubbly Chen Xiaoxi's (played by Shen Yue) crush on her classmate/neighbour Jiang Chen, who is known for his good looks and good grades. The story starts with Xiaoxi's crush in high school, illustrating the challenges they faced to be together from high school to adulthood. The interactions between Xiaoxi and Jiang Chen are cute, loveable and even funny at times and will definitely make you feel like going back to high school again to experience puppy love.

Situ Mo and Gu Weiyi accidentally became roommates by chance and their roommate relationship eventually developed into lovers and husband and wife.
