It's the time of the year where we are finding places out of Singapore to relax and recharge before gearing up for the new year. If you enjoy the ocean and beach, you don't have to travel all the way to The Maldives (and spend a bomb on flight and accoms!) but just take a short flight to Z9 resort in Kanchanaburi, Thailand, just around 3.5 h away from Bangkok.

As the hotel only has 20 rooms in total, this is the perfect place to get away from all the noise and bustle of the city and rejuvenate your soul. Prices at the Z9 resort start at THB 6,600 (~SGD 297.86) a night for Escape North THB 4,500 (~SGD 203.09) a night for South The Scene. Although the prices are on the steeper side, it is definitely worth it for the views, the facilities and the memories.
