Bindi Irwin's Love Story Is A Fairytale Came True ?
Bindi Irwin, daughter of the late conservationist and television personality Steve Irwin, has found her happily-ever-after after taking on zoology and conservation as a career just like her father.
On 21st July, 21-year-old Bindi just got engaged with her boyfriend, Chandler Powell on her birthday and we are honestly getting diabetes from how sweet they are!
Curious to know about how they got together? Scroll on to find out more!
22-year-old American Chandler Powell first met Bindi almost 6 years ago when he was in Australia for a wakeboarding competition and made a visit to the Australia Zoo. Bindi was giving a tour at the zoo and the two immediately felt a connection, with Chandler describing the moment through his Instagram post saying "I immediately fell head over heels for your kind and thoughtful heart that radiates so much light." Love at first sight is real ?
Although the two were in a LDR for many years, their love for each other remained strong with similar interests in wildlife conservation. In January 2018, Chandler relocated from Florida, USA to Australia to be with Bindi and they have been inseparable since.
Getting help from his future brother-in-law Robert, Chandler popped the question to Bindi in the gardens of the Australian Zoo, the place where they first met and spent many of their dates at. Bindi described the proposal as "the most beautiful surprise" and that she is "looking forwarding to spending [their] forever together as [his] wife." Nawww.
Many celebrities have expressed their support and well-wishes to the newly-engaged couple, including Ruby Rose, Millie Brown and our personal favourite, Doug the Pug.
Of course, the Irwin-owned Australian Zoo sent their well-wishes as well.
Bindi's only regret is that her father Steve will not be around to witness her marriage. Describing the experience as "bittersweet", Bindi knew her father would "get excited" about her marriage and would have "loved Chandler so much." Steve passed away after a fatal stab to the heart by a stingray barb in 2006.
Bindi and Chandler's wedding is likely to be held next year at the Australian Zoo and Bindi expressed her wishes for her younger brother, Robert to walk her down the aisle in place of her father, saying that Steve "would have wanted" it as well.
We are so happy that Bindi found her happily-ever-after! So, single friends out there, don't be afraid. Your true love may be just round the corner waiting to meet you!
