Rihanna Launches Savage x Fenty Lingerie Collection For Women of All Shapes and Sizes

After much success with her all shade-inclusive makeup line Fenty Beauty, Rihanna has done it again with Savage x Fenty. The global lingerie label was launched late last week on Friday, 10 May in New York City.

As if we haven't been blessed enough with Rihanna's cosmetics line Fenty Beauty (which features over 40 different range of foundations), Rihanna is here for us with Savage x Fenty.

You must be wondering: What's the big deal? It's not the first time we've seen a celebrity launch their lingerie line. Sofia Vergara (from Modern Family) launched hers last year and we'll see one from our favourite reality show star Kim Kardashian in no time too!

The Savage x Fenty lingerie line features pieces in 36 different sizes ranging from 32A-44DD in cup size and XS-3XL in panties. Its nude collection comes in a diverse range of 90 shades (shut up and take my money!), much like her Fenty Beauty.

During the Savage x Fenty launch, Rihanna shared that she's been working hard over the past few years to realise this lingerie line together with partners who share the same goals.

"We've been working on it with the most amazing partners, Techstyle... Techstyle, the only thing that care about is the customer and it's really the reason I decided to partner with them to create this brand Savage x Fenty because the only thing I really care about is the customers, too, my fans," Rihanna added.

In an interview with Vogue, Rihanna shed more light on Savage x Fenty:

“Savage is really about taking complete ownership of how you feel and the choices you make. As women, we’re looked at as the needy ones, the naggy ones, the ones who are going to be heartbroken in a relationship. Savage is just the reverse. And you know, guys don’t like getting the cards flipped on them — ever.”

We don't know about you, but we are definitely in favour of Rihanna's lingerie line. Nothing speaks to us more than women who helps to lift other women up and empower them.

As Asians, we might also face some issues when it comes to purchasing lingerie since most of the big names out there are not catered for our bodies. With Savage x Fenty, this could mean more options for us to look good and feel good!
