Grilllo, the restaurant that serves up old hawker favourites with a twist! They are known for their signature bowls, skewers and sides. Situated right in the core of our city, you can find them at PasarBella, Suntec City. It's not hard to spot this unique food hall as their layout has a strong street appeal, featuring street art illustrations and graffitied wall. It is largely inspired by the east side of New York City.

There's nothing that could stop me in my tracks unless something better than shopping caught my eyes. Does it look enticing or just me being hungry? The next question is, "this atas char siew rice costs twice the price of a regular hawker's, is this a gimmick or is it really worth $10?"

Well, Iberico pork refers to a special breed of pig, also known as a "black-footed pig". These pigs enjoyed the freedom of walking and they grew up in pastures and oak groves, feasting on natural grass, herbs and acorns.
From Pasarbella's site, here's what they promised, "At Grilllo, we take quality ingredients and serve them fresh, with a hint of smoke, a touch of invention, and lastly to keep things interesting, some of our lip-smacking sauces."

Grilllo's Signature Dish
- Truffle Short Rib Bowl $14.90
At the sound of truffle, the value of this dish instantly went up 99%. Who doesn't like the truffle? On top of their flavorful short ribs, there lies a sexy slow-cooked egg, ready for you to poke and enjoy its goodness. Topped off with lots of crisp garlic chips. *Nom Nom.
2. Iberico Char Siew Bowl $9.90

The Verdict: It is indeed worth $9.90. Every cent of it. It is obviously an upgrade from a regular hawker's and not a scam to sell you char siew rice at $9.90. The best char siew is one with a good balance of fats and meat; This bowl does it well. It is satisfying from the first mouth to the least. We know the pork should be the main attraction, but the egg's so good.
When you are around Suntec City, you got to try this bowl and let us know if you're satisfied. We'll keep hunting around town for the best foods around. Burping out.
