If You're Travelling To Taipei For Christmas Or New Year, Don't Miss This Spot!
If you're flying to Taipei for Christmas or New Year celebration soon, check out these pretty spots!
December is the possibly one of the prettiest months of the year thanks to Christmas and and the coming New Year celebrations. And Taipei is one of the top cities for Singaporeans to fly to for a reason. Let this Christmas light-up in Taipei's Banqiao district show you why! ♡
# Tunnel of Lights
One of the earliest Tunnel of Light installations started in Japan but Taiwan and Hong Kong has picked up on it and developed their very own.
This year, there are 4 Tunnel of Light installations in the Banqiao district and their themes are as follows: Golden Galaxy, Pink Constellations, Silver Stars and a Sea of Blue.
If you're taking the metro here, go through「Exit B1」and be immersed by the 'starry night' installations! ♡
Besides this, Taipei City Hall (市府大樓) will also be lit up by 900 LED fluorescent lamps with the same light technology used in the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
Each lamp is able to exhibit up to 256 light combinations, lighting up Taipei City Hall, Taipei City Hall Town Square, Christmas trees as well as the buildings surrounding it.
If you're a fan of pretty light shows, bring your camera and come on down.
# Carousel
Carousels are mandatory for any Christmas-themed events so you can expect to see one when you're here.
Here are some other highlights of the Christmas light-up in Taipei~
Look out for the milky way when you're in this district! ♡♡♡
