Time To Say Goodbye! The Hello Kitty Restaurant @ Changi Airport Is Closing

Oh nooo, it's time we bid farewell to our beloved Hello Kitty restaurant in Singapore. The Hello Kitty-themed cafe at Terminal 3, Changi Airport is closing down early next year. I know, we feel sad too. But before their exit, they are throwing a farewell party to say a big 'Thank You' to their Singapore fans. The details are found below.

Not long ago, the Gudetama-themed restaurant was downsized to half but we rejoice at the replacement: A Melody-themed cafe. But who can replace the irreplaceable Hello Kitty?

The Hello Kitty Orchid Garden Cafe is the world's first 24-hour Hello Kitty cafe. It is conveniently located at Changi Airport for fans of all nations, regardless of what time you want to dine here. Here’s what @halalfoodhunt had to say: “Our favourite was definitely the one and only Abang Daniel’s Burger! The criss-cut fries were so krispy and nicely battered! The buns were generously smothered with butter and it adds a krispy feel to it. The beef is juicy and the caramelised onions is a perfect garnish. YUMYUM!” ? When the restaurant made its debut on 12 May 2016, Singaporeans went berserk, we queued and waited and raved about it. We love it but eventually, this craze died down...

“With the end of our licence and partnership with Sanrio Co Ltd, Hello Kitty Orchid Garden will be closed permanently," said Fiona Chin, the assistant marketing manager, "we would like to express gratitude and appreciation to all the fans and supporters of the cafe."

In a press release today, the company revealed that the last day of operation will be on 8 February 2019. If you have yet to visit this cafe, you have 5 more months to do so!
