Jeanette Aw Appointed As Ambassador For Japan's Takasaki City
The land of ramen approves!
On Wed, 26 Sept, popular local actress Jeanette Aw announced on Facebook and Instagram that she's been appointed as the official Ambassador for Takasaki, a city in Japan. The post was accompanied with photos of her with her Letter of Appointment as well as a Daruma doll made and specially presented to her.
Earlier this March, Jeanette starred in Ramen Teh, a Singaporean-Japanese-French film that's set in Takasaki, Japan; the same city that she's since become an ambassador for.
The film premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival (wow!) on 23 February 2018 and received positive reviews. In fact, it currently has an approved rating of 80% on popular movie review site Rotten Tomatoes.
On Tues, 25 Sept, Jeanette was with the film's director Eric Khoo and the rest of the cast in Paris for the France movie premiere.
