Homegrown Cult Bag Brand, The Sophia Label, Opens Its First Store At Raffles City

After 10 years in the game, The Sophia Label debuts its first store at Raffles City. The concept store will house the label's full collection including new arrivals and bestsellers.

For the uninitiated, this local bag brand was created by Sophia Chen in 2015. It has since grown a cult following for its meticulously designed bags that are super cute and functional - the kind of bags that you can rely on to actually carry stuff and make everyday life a little easier.

Shoppers can now have a look and feel of the bags in person, and try them on in a brick-a-mortar store!

Something to look out for is the Signature Pocket Denim Tote Bag ($98) from The Sophia Label's 10th Anniversary Collection. Sleek yet roomy enough for a 15-inch laptop, this plush, soft denim bag features the signature pockets that serve as both a unique aesthetic and as quick access to essentials. Inside are elasticated sections and a zipped compartment.

It's hard to find a functional backpack that won't ruin a nice fit, but the Cosy Luxe Backpack ($88) checks all the boxes. It has enough compartments to scratch an itch in any organised person's brain, as well as a lightweight and water resistant nylon material. At the same time, it also scores on style points with a modern, minimalist silhouette and classic colours.

Another highlight is the Toastlet Blind Bag ($30). It looks like a plushie bag charm, but it has a discreet zip that hides a foldable reusable tote bag. There are five designs available - Happy, Cheeky, Innocent, Sleepy, and a secret edition - in a blind bag for a fun unboxing experience.
