'Wicked: For Good' Trailer Reveals What’s Next For Glinda And Elphaba As Dorothy Arrives In Oz
We’ve been waiting For Good, and now, the wait’s nearly over. The trailer for Wicked: For Good, the much-awaited follow-up to last year’s smash-hit musical movie Wicked, has just dropped. And yes, it looks wickedly amazing.

This second chapter picks up right where the first left off – after Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) has gone against the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and gotten herself labelled the Wicked Witch of the West.

“Elphaba, they’re coming for you,” Glinda (Ariana Grande) warns in a tense moment from the trailer. Things are definitely not all rainbows and bubbles in Oz anymore.

We see Elphaba in hiding, speaking up against the Wizard’s lies while Fiyero (Jonathan Bailey) is seemingly hunting her down. The trailer plays that heart-wrenching duet “For Good” in the background, sung by Erivo and Grande. There’s also a little snippet of “No Good Deed” sung by Erivo.

In the first trailer, Dorothy Gale finally steps into the picture. We catch glimpses of her standing with the Tin Man, Scarecrow, and Cowardly Lion in front of the Wizard, but her face stays hidden. So, we still don’t know who’s playing her, or if anyone’s been cast at all.

Director Jon M. Chu decided to split the Wicked story into two parts, with the first movie ending right where the original Broadway show takes its intermission. The second film was originally just called Wicked: Part Two, but it now has a proper title – Wicked: For Good. A little nod to the show’s most emotional song? We think so.

The original cast is returning as well, including Jonathan Bailey, Marissa Bode, Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, and Ethan Slater. But here’s something new: Wicked: For Good will include two brand-new original songs that weren’t part of the stage version.

The first film hit cinemas last November and raked in nearly $750 million worldwide and even earned 10 Oscar nominations, took home awards for best costume and production design.
Wicked: For Good is set to hit cinemas on 20 November 2025. So, mark your calendars, this one’s gonna be Oz-some.
