Don’t Eat That! These Barbiecore Cakes & Bakes Are Actually Luxe Soaps
You know that moment when you spot something so edible-looking, your brain short-circuits for a second and you’re like, “Wait… can I eat this?” That’s exactly what happened when we spotted Nectarlife at Raffles City Shopping Centre (right next to City Hall MRT station).
This new boutique just opened up at the start of May and gives off Barbie’s afternoon tea vibes. Everything looks pretty, yummy and smells like fruity smoothies, but spoiler alert: none of it is edible!

What looks like a platter of delicious sliced cakes topped with buttercream? It’s soap. That glossy macaron stack that screams Ladurée? Also soap. And the gorgeous display of colourful doughnuts with glittery icing? Yep. Still soap.

Some of these adorable confections work as bath bombs, while others are bar soaps — perfect for those who don't have a bathtub at home and still want something extra fabulous for their daily wash.

The macarons are also small enough to take on trips, which could end up saving you some precious luggage space. Extra points if you're opting out of check-in baggage and honestly don't mind using solid soap on the go!

These cuties are priced according to their sizes: macarons start at $18 each, cake slices and cupcakes at $25 per piece, while waffles and larger options go for $40 a pop. Sounds kind of pricey for soap, but these are cruelty-free and clean beauty creations made in the USA!
Plus, many of these come with offers and are available in gift boxes, so it would be wise to bring a friend or five to pick some out together.

While you might get a little hangry shopping here, it's the perfect spot to pick up some gifts for your soap-(or cake-) loving sister, Barbiecore coworker, or that one friend who spends too much time in the shower. Since these look straight out of a Pinterest board, we'd reckon they're also pretty ideal for bridal shower presents and birthdays!
