The superstar and entrepreneur is going all in—she even switched up her Instagram profile pic! Instead of her usual black stick figure doodle, she’s now rocking a blue-faced, blonde-haired version to match her Smurfette role.

The trailer opens with Rihanna’s Please Don’t Stop the Music, but the fun doesn’t last long. What felt like a safe world for the Smurfs turns dangerous when Papa Smurf gets taken. As they set off to rescue him, a remake version of Heaven Is a Place on Earth titled 'Higher Love' by Desi Trill ft. DJ Khaled, Cardi B, Natania, and Subhi plays in the background, making the adventure feel even more epic. Their search leads them all the way to Paris.
The Cast of Smurfs
The cast is packed with big names, including Nick Offerman, Sandra Oh, Natasha Lyonne, Daniel Levy, Amy Sedaris, Nick Kroll, James Corden, Octavia Spencer, Hannah Waddingham, Alex Winter, Billie Lourd, Xolo Maridueña, Kurt Russell, and John Goodman.
Who’s Behind the Film?
Chris Miller is directing this new Smurf adventure, with a script written by Pam Brady. Rihanna is also on board as a producer, alongside Ty Ty Smith, Jay Brown, and Ryan Harris.

Smurf fans will remember the classic ‘80s cartoon and past movies. Katy Perry voiced Smurfette in the 2011 and 2013 Smurfs movies, and Demi Lovato took over the role in 2017’s Smurfs: The Lost Village.
Smurfs hits cinemas on 17 July! Watch the trailer below.
