GFRIEND To Reunite & Perform At Golden Disc Awards Alongside SEVENTEEN, aespa & More

The 39th Golden Disc Awards is ready to make waves this January! Taking place on 4 and 5 January at Fukuoka’s Mizuho PayPay Dome in Japan, the event has revealed an incredible line-up featuring 21 acts.

Day 1: Girl Group Queens and Rising Stars

K-pop girl groups aespa, NewJeans, (G)I-DLE, and more are set to perform on day 1. Fans of soulful music are in for a treat with BIBI and Crush performing. That’s not all—rookie boy band TWS and the participants from Project 7 are set to take stage too!

Amid all the excitement, NewJeans is facing some off-stage drama. The group recently addressed a lawsuit from their former label, ADOR, denying any contract breaches. Despite the legal issues, they’re all set to perform on day one.

Day 2: Iconic Stages and a Reunion

The second night, 5 January, is packed with big names as well! Acts like SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, IVE, and Tomorrow X Together will bring the house down. Rookie groups izna and Nowadays will also be showcasing their talents. Plus, GFRIEND is making a special appearance! The group is also preparing for their 10th anniversary concert on 18 and 19 January at Olympic Hall, Seoul.

The Golden Disc Awards is one of the biggest music events in South Korea. The ceremony hands out three big awards: Digital Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Rookie Artist of the Year, plus popular vote prizes for both male and female artists.
