2024 MAMA Awards Day 1: Highlights And Full Winner List
K-pop lovers, the 2024 MAMA Awards, known as one of the largest and most popular awards ceremonies in K-pop, is here!
Hosted by Park Bo-gum, the star-studded event kicked off at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, on 21 November. Rookie groups like TWS, RIIZE, and ILLIT celebrated major victories alongside J.Y. Park, the legendary K-pop figure and founder of JYP Entertainment.

TWS lit up the stage with BTS' Dynamite (2020), Riize rocked NCT 127's Kick It (2020), and ILLIT charmed fans with their take on TWICE's Heart Shaker (2017).

The 2024 MAMA Awards are bigger than ever, now spanning three days! After kicking off in Los Angeles, the action shifts to Osaka, Japan, for Days 2 and 3 on 22 and 23 November at the Kyocera Dome, hosted by Kim Tae-ri.
SM Entertainment’s aespa is leading the pack this year with eight nominations, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Female Group, and Album of the Year.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie is also stealing the spotlight this year. After launching her solo career under her own agency, OA, she’s landed seven nominations, including Artist of the Year and Song of the Year.

In the Best Male Artist category, nominees include BTS’ Jungkook and Jimin, EXO’s Baekhyun, SHINee’s Taemin, and Lim Young Woong. On the female side, IU, Jennie, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, TWICE’s Nayeon, and (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi are in the running for Best Female Artist.
TWS has already scored Best Dance Performance (Male Group) with their hit plot twist. Meanwhile, NewJeans, aespa, LE SSERAFIM, ILLIT, (G)I-DLE, and IVE are battling it out for Best Dance Performance (Female Group).
