At 32, Kim went viral the moment she hit the shooting range at the Olympics in August. Social media exploded with love for her all-black look, calm composure, fierce confidence, hand-in-pocket swagger, plus her daughter's lucky elephant plush toy.

She’s now bringing that energy to the screen as an assassin in spin off series of the film Asia, Crush, a short-form series that's part of the global film project Asia by Asia Lab.
Directed by Lee Jung-sub, Asia features Thai actor Pakorn Chatborrirak, Indian actor Anushka Sen, Malaysian actor Sean Lee, Malaysian singer Daiyan Trisha, and Korean actor Jang Yoon-young.
According to You Min-guk, CEO of Kim’s agency Plfil, Kim couldn't hide her excitement for the project. “Kim said she’s both nervous and thrilled to play a captivating assassin alongside big-name actors in the Asia spin-off,” he shared.
Kim will act alongside Anushka Sen, a popular Indian actor with a huge following in South Korea. Director Lee called the casting of both Kim and Sen a "groundbreaking moment" for the global short-form series.

A spokesperson from Plfil said, “Nearly 20 brands want to feature her in ads, and over 10 TV shows are eager to cast her, but her priority remains her athletic career.”
