It's Official—Emily In Paris Has Been Renewed For Season 5 On Netflix

A little Bonjour sure goes a long way for Netflix's Emily in Paris as the hit series has officially been renewed for Season 5!

Just a few days after part two of Season 4 dropped, we were left hanging with a huge cliffhanger and a fun twist—Emily and crew are headed to Rome!

Darren Star, the mastermind behind Emily in Paris, told Tudum, "We’re thrilled with the incredible response to this season of Emily in Paris and excited to return for a fifth to continue Emily's adventures in Rome and Paris!" He confirmed, “Emily’s going to have a presence in Rome, it doesn't mean she's not going to be in Paris but she's going to have a presence in Rome."

Season 4 Part 1 pulled in close to 20 million views in just four days, even claiming the #1 spot on Netflix's Global Top 10 when it premiered in August.

Lily Collins, who stars as our favourite American expat, Emily Cooper, shared the news about Season 5 during her appearance on Good Morning America and told Tudum that she's excited to see how things unfold between her character and her new love interest, Marcello (played by Eugenio Franceschini).

“Marcello is a whole other adventure that we want for Emily because we ultimately want Emily to be able to have a better work/life balance, we want to have Emily be able to smile without condition. We want to see her beyond her vacay mode. And he comes at that perfect time.” Collin also told Tudum.

When is Emily in Paris season 5 coming out?

When Netflix announced the new season, they didn’t share much about the cast, but they did tease that Emily’s relationship with Marcello will play a big part in Season 5. This hints that we’ll see more of those actors next season. It’s also pretty likely that most of the main cast will be back for the new season.
