Luxury Skincare Brand Sisley Teams Up With Shangri-La For A Gorgeous Purple-Themed Afternoon Tea
An unlikely yet perfectly complementary duo, Sisley and Shangri-La, have come together to create a lavish afternoon tea this August.
The French luxury beauty brand is well known and loved for skincare products with sensorial textures, divine scents and powerful anti-ageing ingredients. One of its most coveted lines is the Black Rose Collection that's infused with rare Black Baccara Rose extract to revive lacklustre complexions. This collection serves as the inspiration behind the purple-themed afternoon tea crafted by The Rose Veranda's team at Shangri-La Singapore.
As expected of the two brands, the afternoon tea is treat for both the eyes and the palate. Everything is imbued with a purple hue, and despite sticking so closely to the aesthetic, the flavours and textures of every savoury and sweet morsel are on point!

Start with warmed scones and elegant little savouries like Truffle Smoked Chicken Sandwich, Caramelised Beetroot, Fig and Onion Tart, and Cajun Roasted Shrimp and Tobiko Sandwich.
Pair that with tea or Le Rosé (+$20++), a cocktail with a pretty purple hue that's crafted exclusively for this collaboration. Reminiscent of a lychee dessert, this floral and fruity blend is made with rose syrup-infused vodka.

Unlike most afternoon tea sets, the Sisley x Shangri-La Afternoon Tea comes with a main course so it feels like a proper, indulgent meal. We can attest that the Pan Roasted Sous Vide Prime Steer Tenderloin and Free Range Chicken Breast are excellent choices. The other two options, Seafood Cioppino and Zucchini & Goat Cheese Tart, sound promising too.

One you're ready for the sweets, head to the never-ending dessert bar for a spread of exquisite treats including cakes, macarons, pralines, tarts, brownies and pate de fruit.
Among them are four delicate pastries curated by Shangri-La's pastry chef: crunchy Ispahan Macarons with juicy raspberries, refreshing Rose Swirl Mousse sprinkled with gold dust, light and tangy Hibiscus Strawberry Verinne, and smooth and velvety Rosella Panna Cotta with Lychee Konnyaku.
