The highly anticipated film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's bestselling novel It Ends With Us has released its first trailer. Starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the 2:33-minute trailer takes us on an emotional roller coaster ride.

Directed by Justin Baldoni himself, Blake plays Lily Bloom, a woman who has moved to Boston to start her own floral business. There she meets Ryle Kincaid, a neurosurgeon played by Justin. Their relationship develops quickly, but as they fall deeper in love, Lily starts noticing troubling similarities between Ryle and the abusive relationship her parents had, which she witnessed growing up.

When Lily’s first love, Atlas Corrigan (portrayed by Brandon Sklenar), reenters her life, complications surface. His return threatens Lily's relationship with Ryle, forcing her to confront conflicting emotions and make difficult choices. Drawing on her inner strength, Lily must decide her future.

The cast also includes Jenny Slate as Allysa, Ryle’s sister; Hasan Minhaj as Marshall, Allysa’s husband; and Amy Morton as Jenny, Lily’s mother. Check out the trailer below:

Director Justin Baldoni expressed that his involvement in this project has been deeply personal and heartfelt, spanning almost five years. His dedication to the film mirrors his commitment to capturing the emotional depth and complexity of the novel on screen.

The movie was initially planned for release on 9 February 2024. However, filming halted in June 2023 due to the WGA strike. Production resumed in January of this year. The new release date for the movie is now set for 9 August 2024.
