The Best Dressed Celebrities From the 2024 Met Gala: Dress Made Out Of Sand, 2.5 Million Beads, & More
It's the moment we've all been waiting for! Our favourite stars have graced fashion's biggest night, the 2024 Met Gala in New York City on Monday, 6 May 2024.
This year's event had some big names co-chairing, including Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, Zendaya, and Bad Bunny. The theme of the night? Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion, with a dress code of The Garden of Time. And of course, hosting as always was Vogue's Anna Wintour at the Costume Institute benefit.

#1 Zendaya

The Challengers star turned heads in a Maison Margiela Artisanal by John Galliano creation, reminiscent of a 1999 Dior design. The one-shoulder gown featured bold royal-blue and emerald-green diagonal stripes on its long trumpet skirt, adorned with fruit-like embellishments on one side of the waist. Completing the dress was a unique fascinator made of net mesh and tulle feathers.

Later in the evening, Zendaya surprised everyone by returning to the bottom of the steps in a stunning black gown from John Galliano’s Givenchy era in 1996. The dress featured a corseted lace-up bodice, long off-the-shoulder sleeves, and a structured peplum hemline. Completing the look was a bouquet-themed fascinator wrapped in black tulle by Philip Treacy for Alexander McQueen in 2006.

Sydney Sweeney, known for her blonde locks, made heads turn with her new look at the 2024 Met Gala. She rocked a Miu Miu tulle gown and leather gloves, giving off a classic Old Hollywood vibe.

Kylie chose a classy outfit that matched the evening's theme by resembling a garden statue. She wore a custom creation by Oscar de la Renta. The dress, made of smooth satin in a soft pink color, had a cone-shaped top, a tight waist, and a big flared skirt.

A glowing Lea Michelle stepped onto the red carpet wearing a beautiful aqua gown from Rodarte, complete with a tulle cape. This was just two months after she shared her second pregnancy news. The dress had a neckline adorned with delicately cut straps, each decorated with clusters of white flowers in 3D.

She complemented her new hairstyle with a stylish white chiffon cocktail dress. The dress had puffy off-the-shoulder sleeves and a sheer white top adorned with statement buttons.

Michelle Yeoh, known for her longer hair, debuted a new hairstyle with a silver Balenciaga dress that resembles tin foil. Despite its appearance, Yeoh clarified that the dress is not made of foil, but the fabric has a similar texture. She told People, "No it's not, but the fabric feels like it is. You can mold it. You press it and it feels like it's frozen in time."
