First Look: Timothée Chalamet Takes On The Role Of Bob Dylan In Biopic 'A Complete Unknown'
Lights, camera, action! Filming has begun for A Complete Unknown, the upcoming Bob Dylan biopic directed by James Mangold, featuring Timothée Chalamet portraying the legendary musician. Recently, snapshots from the shoot in New York City have surfaced online, giving us a sneak peek at the 28-year-old actor dressed in character.

In the first peek from the set, Timothée is spotted wearing an orange scarf and a paperboy hat, carrying a mustard yellow backpack, all wrapped up with gloves and a thick green jacket. It looks like a snowy day in New York for the young Bob Dylan. And, as expected, he's carrying his guitar too.
A vintage-looking car drove past him, adding to the scene for the biopic. It's said to be about Dylan's move to electric guitar in the '60s and his rise to folk music fame.

Cast of A Complete Unknown
Apart from Timothée, A Complete Unknown also stars Elle Fanning as Sylvie Russo, Dylan's love interest, Monica Barbaro as Joan Baez, Nick Offerman as Alan Lomax, and Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash. Edward Norton came onboard to portray Pete Seeger after Benedict Cumberbatch had to leave due to a production delay.

In 2024, Timothée Chalamet has made history by being the first actor in almost 50 years to star in the two most popular movies released in the same country within eight months of each other.

He starred as Willy Wonka in Wonka, a live-action film inspired by Roald Dahl's book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The film made over $630 million worldwide and over $200 million in the US after its release in December 2023.
