Ari Aster wears two hats as director and screenwriter, telling the story of a small-town New Mexico sheriff with big dreams. Darius Khondji, a two-time Oscar-nominated cinematographer, will capture the visuals, while Aster and Lars Knudsen oversee production through their company Square Peg.

A24 has been the powerhouse behind all three of Ari Aster’s past movies, starting with Hereditary in 2018, followed by Midsommar in 2019, and last year's Beau Is Afraid. Eddington will mark the sixth project to emerge from the collaboration between A24 and Square Peg. In Eddington, Aster and Phoenix are teaming up once more after their collaboration on Beau Is Afraid. Phoenix, who clinched an Oscar for his amazing performance in Joker in 2019, is set to reprise his character in the sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, scheduled to hit theatres in October.

On 11 March 2024, Emma Stone secured her second Academy Award for her performance as Bella Baxter in Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things. Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal recently appeared in Drive-Away Dolls and is gearing up for his return in the second season of HBO’s The Last of Us. On the other hand, Austin Butler is currently earning praise for his role in Denis Villeneuve’s box office hit Dune: Part Two, where he appears alongside with Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, and Josh Brolin.
