In August last year, she announced the Eras Tour concert film, and within a month, AMC Entertainment revealed that it had broken the company's U.S. record for highest ticket-sales revenue in a single day, taking less than 24 hours. AMC Entertainment, the U.S. distributor for Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour film, stated in a press release on 26 September last year that due to the overwhelming demand, an immediate worldwide release of the film was necessary.
