Jacob Elordi To Star In Guillermo del Toro's Netflix Adaptation 'Frankenstein'
Australian actor Jacob Elordi has been cast as Frankenstein's monster in Guillermo del Toro's highly anticipated Netflix adaptation of the classic tale. This exciting news comes after Andrew Garfield, who was originally set to play the role, had to step down due to delays from the 2023 Hollywood strikes.

Joining Elordi in this film is Oscar Isaac, who will be taking on the role of Victor Frankenstein. Other notable names in this upcoming film include Mia Goth (A Cure For Wellness), Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained), Felix Kammerer (All Quiet on the Western Front), David Bradley (Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio), Lars Mikkelsen, (The Witcher) and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth).

Del Toro, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Oscar-winning The Shape of Water, will not only be directing but also writing and producing this adaptation of Mary Shelley's 1818 classic novel. This project marks yet another collaboration between Netflix and del Toro, with their previous collaborations such as Pinocchio in 2022, which won the Oscars for Best Animated Film, Cabinet of Curiosities, and the Trollhunters franchise ā Rise of the Titans and Tales of Arcadia.

Elordi, the 26-year-old actor who who rose to fame with his portrayal of Nate Jacobs in HBO's hit series Euphoria, has experience playing well-known figures. Recently, he took on the iconic role of Elvis Presley in Sofia Coppola's drama Priscilla and starred alongside Barry Keoghan in the dark comedy Saltburn, directed by Emarald Fennell.
