Kuromi Cafe Winter Party Is A Pop-Up Themed Cafe In Tokyo Running Till February 2024
Travelling to Tokyo, Japan this winter? Make space in your itinerary for a pop-up Kuromi-themed cafe! Kuromi, the beloved Sanrio character, is bringing her own cafe to Shinjuku, Tokyo from December 2023 to February 2024. Named Kuromi Cafe Winter Party, the cafe will offer cute and photo-worthy Kuromi-themed food, drinks and merchandise.
Food & Drinks
The star of the show is undoubtedly the menu. Craving comfort food? Warm yourself up with the hearty stew topped with Kuromi-shaped rice. In the mood for a burger? Indulge in a delicious Kuromi-themed one drenched in a curious purple tartar sauce.

Save room for dessert, as the cafe will serve elaborately designed sweets including mont blancs, muffins and shortcakes.

Even the drinks are aww-inducing! Highlights include a parfait smoothie made with purple chocolate, black corn, milk pudding and ice cream, as well as a stunning pale purple soda crowned with pink jelly.

Diners can expect typical themed cafe prices, with mains from ¥1,490 (~SGD 14), desserts from ¥1,090 (~SGD 10) and drinks from ¥690 (~SGD 6).
Merchandise
But the kawaii-ness doesn't stop at the food, the cafe also has original merchandise (¥605 - ¥1,760, ~SGD 6 - 16) available for purchase. Featuring a sweet purple and blue colour combo and Kuromi basking in a winter wonderland, the collectible includes key rings, stickers, phone stands, acrylic stands, handkerchiefs and drawstring pouches.

The cafe's interior design takes inspiration from 無機質カフェ AKA "inorganic cafes", a minimalist-meets-industrial aesthetic popular among Gen Z-ers in Japan. Expect a simple and modern space that still feels cosy and relaxing, with a colour scheme of white and purple.
It will be located at BOX cafe＆space Lumine Est Shinjuku store, which is directly connected to the east exit of JR Shinjuku station.
